Main purpose of the job: Responsible for the effective management of Council’s property and administration of Council’s property transactions.
Requirements: Applicants should have a National Diploma in Public Administration, have knowledge of Microsoft Office, have 2 years relevant experience and have a Code B Driver’s license.
Key performance areas: Effective administration of the alienation of Council’s property by way of private treaty (undeveloped erven, low cost housing and repossessed houses); Effective administration of alienation of Council’s property by way of public tenders and auctions (commercial community); Responsible for the calculation and levying of betterment and endowment fees; Capturing of data and the maintaining of electronic data files in respect of all property records; Responsible for control and maintenance of register containing deeds of all council properties and all low cost housing project loans, transfers and mortgage bonds; Co-ordinate the receipt of the diagrams, appointment of land surveyor and registration of land; Issuing and compiling of documents; Attend to administrative functions with regards to the general and interim valuation roll; Arrange for the appointment of an auctioneer; Execution of Management Committee, Council and Planning Forum resolutions and Handling of public enquiries regarding all property related matters by way of verbal, written and telephone conversations.
