(Paterson B4 Band)

Main purpose of the job: Performs duties both in emergency and non-emergency situations, related to fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical ambulance services, hazardous materials response, emergency management control room and emergency management service delivery  as determine by the Local Authority Fire Brigade act no 5 , of 2006. Serves as the principle hands-on labour in providing emergency management’s emergency and non-emergency services to the community.  

Requirements - Applicants should have Grade 12 (pass mark of 20 points over 5 subjects which must include an E symbol in English); as well as a Fire Fighter I certificate and 2 years Fire related experience; Code C driver’s License with valid PA, Health Professionals Council of Namibia Registered as Basic ECP

TECHNICIAN: PROJECTS
 (Paterson C4 Band)

Purpose of job: Provides technical support functions to the Manager: Projects and other divisions/ departments. The incumbent is primarily responsible for technical projects with respect to planning, design, construction, supervision and project management under a variety of Engineering and Architectural disciplines, such as constructions, extensions, renovations, upgrading and maintenance projects

Key Performance areas: The successful candidate will be responsible to provide technical support for the planning, design and maintenance of road, traffic, storm water, water, sewerage purified effluent and building related infrastructure and documentation thereof; provides technical assistance with investigation, planning, design, documentation, supervision, data base maintenance and enquiries related to the disciplines listed under KPA 1; various administration tasks and communicates and guides internal departments, public and professionals by providing technical support.

Requirements: Applicants should have Grade 12 (pass mark of 20 points over 5 subjects with an E symbol in English); a National Diploma: Civil Engineering with 3 years working experience as Civil Technician or B-Tech Degree in Civil Engineering with 3 years post qualification relevant working experience in Civil Engineering. The applicant must be registered with the Engineering Council of Namibia. The applicant must also be in possession with a valid Code B driver’s licence.
