HEALTH & WELLNESS OFFICER
(Paterson C4 Band)
Purpose of job: Plans, organizes, co-ordinates, implements, measure results and evaluates a multi-facetted program aimed at improving the health habits and wellness of Council’s employees through education, health promotion, medical self-care and interventions to attain measurable reduction in employee’s health risks and thereby help contain Council’s health costs.
Key Performance areas:The successful candidate will be responsible for implementation and monitoring the effectiveness of wellness initiatives and programs to improve employee health and well- being; performs professional therapeutic work as well as co-ordinating the activities of the wellness function; promotes wellness and prevents illness and injury in the workplace; administers all aspects of Council’s HIV/AIDS programs; monitors and records workers health status and develop health education materials and training programs and facilitate training sessions.
Requirements: Applicant must be in possession of a Bachelor of Nursing and have 2 years relevant experience. It is also expected that the applicant must be computer literate and be in possession of a valid Code B driver’s license and be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia and be in possession of a HIV/AIDS management Certificate.
